Do you think it's a smart idea to dye my hair a dark red this summer?

I heard red fades pretty fast so I don't know if I should dye my hair red or not...because if I don't dye it red I'm probably just going to redye it back to brown again and get either highlights or lowlights. I'm planning to do the same for red but if it fades so fast I'm not too sure. I'm not sure if I can be so cautious about making sure it doesn't fade either so yeah, what do you guys suggest...thanks in advance!

I HAVE SO MANY HAIR COLORS AND DARK RED REALLY FADES QUICK AND LOOKS ORANGISH COPPERISH LATER AND IF YOU TRY AND DYE IT LATER THE ORANGE COLOR BLEEDS THROUGH

i dont think so...try a reddish-brown or brownish-red. dark red would just make you look like you're desperate for serious attention. that's not too good. try highlights or lowlights...im not sure about the dark red thing though...i suggest you don't do that...

It fades super quick. The first time you shower you will see it bleed.

I would not do it in the summer just because you'll be in pools, beach, etc. Also i tend to shower more then once a day in the summer so i would just wait a little. It bleeds to quick.

Wait until the fall it looks prettier then with the fall colors

I think it would be a good idea not to dye your hair at all during the summer, but if you do then red is probably not a good choice for a couple of reasons...

First of all, as you said, red is quickest to fade. Take into account the sun and sea and/or pool water and it'll fade all that more quicker.

Having said that, though, sometimes light-medium shades of brown (and definitely blonde, as you probably know) sometimes can turn greenish when exposed to chlorinated pool water. And, as with the red, the brown will also fade with sunlight and swimming, making it look dull.

So if you absolutely positively can't wait I'd say go with brown, but a better option would be to get a color gloss at a salon for a boost in color/shine for the time being.

i dont think its smart to dye AT ALL this summer. the heat of the sun will damage ur hair, and it will fade ur haircolor. wait till after summer.
