like a dark natural red.

currently i have black hair.

should i bleach it?

if its dyed black, you HAVE to bleach it out for the red to show up.....if you mix bleach and the developer and some shampoo together, it will be gentle and slighty lift it enough and then blow dry it and then dye it red....you should have it professionally done so you dont fry it.

go to a salon and die it dark red. thx is the way you say it. srry if i offended u. but they will get your hair perfectly dark red.

i think you should have it done professionally because i did the same thing you are trying to do just a few months ago and totally killed my hair, it looked fried and the color was just all wrong. good luck!

I would defenitly go to a professional when you are working with going from a darker color to a lighter you will have to use bleach then die. I just did something similar to my hair and i went to a professional. They said that they had to do it because I was going from a darker to a lighter and you have to lift the color. So go to a professional and it will turn out really pretty, and by the way I love that dark natural red color!
