I want to dye my hair red....?

My hair right now is dyed a medium brown (which is really close to my natural color), and I wanted to dye it a dark red, like an auburn. And I was wondering if it was possible to do it without having to bleach it, I really dont want to. If so, which product do you think would be the best to use to get good results?? I used to dye my hair auburn all the time.....I used Feria...they have like 2 shades of auburn that are nice, I can't really remember the names though. I never had to bleach my hair to do it.

i dont think so, but to be sure you might want to ask your hairstylist, even if you aren't going to have it professionally done.

you can use fiera by l'oreal.. w/ the red you want.

i did it, and it worked fine..i've used a variety of dyes so i can't give you a specific brand name. Just remember, you get what you pay for

I wanna dye it like that too, but I'm going to the salon. Ain't no way I'm gonna trust myself with that bottle. I mean, store box hair dye only works for about 20% of girls who use them. Do you really want an 80% chance of disaster? The only reason hairstylists aren't more vocal about this stuff because they make TONS of money repairing girls' hair from this! DON'T TO IT!

If you still won't listen to me at least use Loreal Color Preference.
