How do you dye your hair red - black ?

i want to dye my dark brown hair black , but instead of it being blue-black (so that it shines kinda blue in the light) i want it to shine red in the light.....i think its called black cherry but im not sure.....where could i get dye like that? or how could i do it, if i have like red dye and black dye ?

you could try a deep auburn it might have that effect i had my hair red before but i used normal red and it came out dark but still red so if you want it to look kinda black try a deeper shade of red



i got those at a regular drugstore

clairol used to make a red based black color, but they don't manufacture it anymore. it used to be available at sally beauty supply, which would be your best bet if you insist on doing it at home. you want a level 1 or 2 with a red base, which is going to be nearly impossible to find, as those levels are typically manufactured with blue or violet bases. a professional can mix one up special for you.

just got get it done at the hair dresser and tell her you want it to have a red tint in the sun. I went there for just black hair, and she said she didnt like it plain black, so she added red in it herself so it would be like you're talking about. you just have to ask, it's easily done =)
