How do I dye my hair red after bleaching it blonde?

I recently attempted to dye my hair red. I have been doing it blonde for a while so obviously, the dye didn't take very well. I don't have the money to go to a salon and have it professionally done, so what are my options?

it needs a filler. a filler will coat the hair shaft enough for the color to adhere. when you bleach or color lighter than natural color you are constantly taking your natural pigment out of your hair. when so much natural pigment is taken out it needs to be replaced so it can grab the color.

my suggestion would be to use a semi permanent color over what you did but keep in mind that color makes color go darker - ALWAYS. so if you don't go dark enough you won't see much of a change, but if it turns out too dark it will fade. red color molecules are the largest therefor red color fades faster than any other.

go to a professional, they'll know what to do. that is, if you don't want to do it yourself at home and end up dyeing your hair a freaky color.

It best to wait at least a month after you dyed it the last time, then dye it as you normaly would. You will most likely need to have your hair trimed after this because split ends are a sure side effect

well, from experiance, i have a background involving hairdyes. i would suggest that you buy the same product that u bouGHt and used(MAKE SURE IT IS THE RIGHT NUMBER AND COLOR! ^^)and put it on the parts that didnt get done correctly. however, there arent alot of options besides that, i warn you, if you use too much hair dye before three months, your hair will fry. so be careful and good luck! I hope i was of some assistance to u. for any other questions about this, you can email me at xxgdstjimmyxx@aim.com ^^

well you don't want to damage your hair anymore than it is. the more you dye your hair the more breakage your going to have. if it really bothers you then you should get it done professionally however if you don't have the money then you should just leave your hair alone.

Bleaching, dying, and coloring the hair actually destroys the hair's color pigments and usually damages the cuticle, leaving hair dry, dull, porous, and prone to split ends. Coloring your hair usually lifts the cuticle and bleach the natural color so the new shade can penetrate the hair shaft, which makes your hair dry and dull. When coloring your hair, the pigment lodges in the cortex of the hair which swells the cortex up, and damages the cuticles. I strongly suggest you not color your hair. I hope this information helped you.
