since ur natural hair color is so dark the red might not really show up as much as u want it to!!!

you wouldn't want to jump from black all the way to red. Try lightening it and then go for red. Red has a tendency to wash out faster than any other color, so if you wanted to keep it red for awhile you may have to dye it repeatedly.

if you get a dye that is used to lighten that dark of color then it would look great

It wouldn't be totally red...so you may wanna take it in stages and do it lightly til your hair becomes red.
