i have this really natural shiny jet black hair, but i am planning to dye it red for a change. not really for the long run, so if ever i wanted to go back to my black hair, what is the best way to get it back?

When I dyed my hair red and I wanted it back to my natural hair color, I dyed it jet black and it looked like my actual natural hair color. My natural hair color is dark brown but no one noticed the difference. It just looked like my natural hair color. If you don't wanna dye it back to your natural hair color, the best thing to do is to let it grow out and then when the red reaches the ends of your hair, get it cut and that will do it for you. It is easier to go darker than lighter. Once your hair is red it is very simple to go back to black. I have black hair as well and went red for awhile and it was a cinch to go back to black. All you have to do is use black color over the red. If you were going blond then going to black would be harder, but going from red to black is very easy and just 1 step.
