i used a lightish red. because atfirst i bleached my hair from black. which didnt turn out too bad, it turned out blondeish brownish.
and i want a red. redddd hair color.
does anyone know what color or brand i should use?
I usually use Lo'real .
I just dyed my hair red. and it turned out redish brownish. i was wondering. what color can make it more red?
I have found that if the color comes out as a more brownish red, blond highlights will give you that brighter color. Been red for 17 years.

good thing because this happened to me once. i did the same thing and asked around the same question. i found out that using Lo'real black hair dye will make it turn REDREDREDREDRED!

It depends on your natural hair color, but I would talk to a stylist before putting any color in my hair.

GO TO A PROFESSIONAL!!! Sorry to be so bold, but you are probably hurting your hair more than you think. Stripping it from dark brown with bleach is very drying and makes your hair extremely porous. So coloring it on top of that your hair is going to grab the brown before the red that's why it's more brown. If you insist on doing it yourself, wait a week or two, the color will have faded some by then also, then pick out a color that is a red-copper. That way you won't have the brown base, and it will come out more red.

Honestly... You have a lot of chemical in your hair.. Perhaps why it is not holding color well... Red doesnt hold that great... ( over th counter product) rd is a stain .. even in my hair it has washed out... Seriously Id go to a professional... and have color correction.. I would definately not keep putting store purchasd product on what you have already sone.. Will cause hair more damage
